WELCOME TO ST. MICHAEL’S
A parish rooted in Christ, alive in faith, and committed to helping people encounter Jesus through the sacraments, community, and the life of the Church.
Whether you are visiting for the first time, returning to the practice of the faith, new to the area, or have called this parish home for many years, we are glad you are here.
St. Michael’s Catholic Church is a welcoming parish community rooted in Jesus Christ and the sacramental life of the Church. Here, we seek to grow as disciples through worship, prayer, faith formation, fellowship, and service. Our desire is to help every person encounter Christ, deepen their faith, and find a true sense of belonging within the parish family.
At the heart of St. Michael’s is the Eucharist, where we are nourished by Christ and sent forth to live the Gospel in our homes, workplaces, and community. From Sunday Mass and sacramental preparation to parish ministries, outreach, and opportunities for spiritual growth, St. Michael’s is a place where individuals and families of every age can grow in faith and walk together in hope.
No matter where you are on your journey, there is a place for you here. We invite you to join us for Mass, explore the life of the parish, and discover all the ways St. Michael’s can support you in living the Catholic faith with joy and purpose.
our beliefs
Our faith begins with God — the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, the source of all life and the foundation of all creation. As Catholics, we profess our faith in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit: one God in three divine Persons. This faith, handed on through Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition, is beautifully summarized in the Creed.
As the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches:
“Our profession of faith begins with God, for God is the First and the Last, the beginning and the end of everything. The Credo begins with God the Father, for the Father is the first divine person of the Most Holy Trinity; our Creed begins with the creation of heaven and earth, for creation is the beginning and the foundation of all God's works.”
— Catechism of the Catholic Church, no. 198
The heart of Catholic belief is succinctly expressed in the Nicene Creed, which we profess together at Mass:
The Nicene Creed
I believe in one God,
the Father almighty,
maker of heaven and earth,
of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages.
God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God,
begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
he came down from heaven,
and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary,
and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day
in accordance with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

our mission
“Worship God, Defend the Poor, Proclaim the Gospel” captures the heart of St. Michael’s mission in three inseparable movements. First, Worship God: the very name Mik-ha’-el (“Who is like God”) is not merely a label but a confession, a cry of adoration that puts every rival and every idol in its place (cf. Ex. 15, sp. Ex. 15:11). From that worship flows the second charge, Defend the Poor: like a shield, the Church is commanded to “give justice to the weak and the orphan; maintain the right of the lowly and the destitute… rescue the weak and the needy” (Psalm 82:3–4), standing between the vulnerable and whatever would crush them. Finally, Proclaim the Gospel: with the sword of God’s Word “living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12). We speak Christ clearly and courageously, so that hearts are convicted, healed, and led into the freedom of truth.
Worship God, Defend the Poor, Proclaim the Gospel.
our vision
Rooted in our mission to Worship God, Defend the Poor, and Proclaim the Gospel, we envision St. Michael’s as a parish where every disciple Prays, Learns, Connects, and Serves in the spirit of our patron.
Like St. Michael’s very name (“He who is like God”), we are drawn first to Pray, entering into a living conversation with the Lord so that we may rest more deeply in His Love and Beauty.
We Learn as disciples at the feet of Christ, allowing His Truth to shape our minds and hearts.
We Connect as one Body, growing in harmony with the Unity of God and drawing one another into deeper communion in the Catholic Church.
And we Serve, taking up the shield of justice for the poor (Psalm 82:3–4) and the sword of the living Word (Hebrews 4:12), offering ourselves in love so that others may be brought closer to God.
At St. Michael’s, this is our vision: a community transformed by Christ who Prays, Learns, Connects, and Serves so that the worship of God, the defense of the vulnerable, and the proclamation of the Gospel shine clearly in our community and beyond.
