PARISH COUNCIL

Supporting the Pastor
and Parish Mission
THROUGH COLLABORATION.

The mission of the Parish Pastoral Council is established in accordance with Canon Law and is advisory in nature. Comprised of nine members, the Council assists the Pastor in fostering and strengthening the pastoral life of the parish through prayerful reflection, discernment, and consultation.

At the request of the Pastor, the Council investigates matters affecting parish life, thoughtfully considers pastoral needs and opportunities, and offers practical recommendations to support the mission of the Church. Through prayer, dialogue, and careful study, the Council seeks to provide informed insight that aids the Pastor in his pastoral leadership and decision-making.

The Parish Pastoral Council does not serve as a liaison or representative body between the congregation and the Pastor. Rather, its role is to offer counsel and feedback solely on initiatives and matters presented by the Pastor for consultation. In this way, the Council remains focused on its purpose of supporting the Pastor in guiding the parish in faith, unity, and pastoral care.
