ADULT FAITH FORMATION
“You have made us for yourself, O Lord,
and our heart is restless until it rests in you.”
–St. AUGUSTINE
Adult Faith Formation at St. Michael Catholic Church offers opportunities for adults to continue growing in their relationship with Jesus Christ and deepening their understanding of the Catholic faith. Rooted in Scripture, prayer, and the teachings of the Church, these offerings are designed to help adults at every stage of life grow in discipleship, strengthen their faith, and more fully live the Gospel in everyday life.
Through studies, classes, small groups, parish missions, guest speakers, and other formation opportunities, adults are invited to explore the richness of the Catholic tradition in a meaningful and practical way. Whether someone is seeking to learn more about the faith, return to the Church, grow in prayer, or connect with others in the parish community, Adult Faith Formation provides a welcoming space for ongoing spiritual growth.
This ministry reflects the lifelong call to conversion and discipleship, helping parishioners continue forming their minds and hearts according to Christ. As adults grow in faith, they are better equipped to serve their families, the parish, and the wider community with wisdom, conviction, and love.
St. Michael’s is grateful to offer opportunities that encourage adults to keep learning, keep growing, and keep responding to God’s call throughout every season of life.
WHY FORMATION MATTERS.
Faith formation is a lifelong journey. While many Catholics receive religious education as children, the call to grow in faith does not end after receiving the sacraments. As we move through different seasons of life, our questions deepen, our responsibilities change, and our relationship with God is continually invited to mature.
Adult Faith Formation helps parishioners grow in their understanding of Scripture, the teachings of the Church, and the meaning of Christian discipleship in everyday life. It provides the opportunity to continue learning, to be renewed in faith, and to respond more fully to God’s presence and calling.
In a world filled with distraction, confusion, and competing values, ongoing faith formation helps strengthen a solid Catholic foundation. It equips adults to live with greater wisdom, conviction, and spiritual confidence, and to share the faith more fully within their families, workplaces, and communities.
Faith formation is not only about learning more — it is about becoming more. As we grow in knowledge of the faith, we are also formed in prayer, virtue, and deeper communion with Christ and His Church.
