Saint Michael Catholic Church
Respect Life Ministry
With a long history and significant participation in our parish, this ministry
provides an opportunity to declare our belief in the sanctity of human life.
Activities include various assistance programs for pregnant mothers and the
unborn who are in need, and meetings that allow for sharing of concerns and
knowledge and planning ways to reflect the dignity of human life.
Diocese of Saint
Augustine
The Respect Life Ministry of the Diocese of Saint Augustine bases its philosophy on the consistent life ethic, that, human life begins at conception and must be regarded as sacred until natural death regardless of quality or condition.
Respect Life Prayer
Loving God, We thank you for the gift of life
You gave and continue to give to all of us.
We ask your pardon and forgiveness for our failure and
the failure of all people to respect and foster all forms of life in our
universe.
We pray that with your grace, all people will reverence, protect,
and promote all life, and that we will be especially sensitive to
the life of the unborn, abused, neglected, disabled, and elderly.
We pray, too, that all who make decisions about life
in any form will do so with wisdom, love, and courage.
Living God, We praise and glorify You as Father, Source of all life,
As Son, Savior of our lives, and as Spirit, Sanctifier of our lives. Amen.
